Aquatic Games Mission.

Aquatic Games’ mission is to develop behavioral enrichment feeding devices for captive aquatic animals, including pet fish, serving both public and private sectors.

Behavioral enrichment is a core principle of modern animal husbandry focused on improving the psychological and physiological well-being of animals in captivity through environmental stimulation. By creating more engaging and challenging feeding experiences, aquatic animals are encouraged to exhibit natural behaviors that support healthier, more active lives.

This approach, known by marine biologists as “enrichment feeding,” transforms feeding from a passive activity into an interactive experience designed to promote overall well-being.

“Behavioral enrichment, also called environmental enrichment, is an animal husbandry principle that seeks to enhance the quality of captive animal care by identifying and providing the environmental stimuli necessary for optimal psychological and physiological well-being” – Shepardson 1998

FinBall Innovative Solution

According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), approximately 15 million households in the United States own pet fish. Recent APPA research also indicates that fish owners represent one of the youngest average demographics among pet owners.

The FinBall is designed for both professional aquariums and home aquarists. By positioning the FinBall as an interactive game for aquatic pets, the routine task of daily feeding becomes a more engaging and enjoyable experience. This gamified approach is especially appealing to children, encouraging greater participation in the care and feeding of pet fish.

Ready for Market

A recent Nielsen survey conducted by Harris Poll estimated that approximately $60 million is spent annually on fish food in the United States.

The FinBall is a first-of-its-kind product with no direct competitors in the aquatic pet industry. Designed to provide behavioral enrichment feeding for captive marine life, the FinBall introduces an interactive feeding experience suitable for both professional aquatic facilities and home aquariums.

Traditionally, captive aquatic animals are fed by simply placing food into the water or directly into the animal’s mouth. The FinBall changes this passive process by requiring the animal to interact with and manipulate the device in order to release food. This engagement creates a stimulating enrichment challenge that encourages natural feeding behaviors while promoting both mental and physical activity.
